HippyKritz Music and More

HippyKritz Music & More is a vision of Kathryn and Kenny's to open a music store in Abilene, TX that provides quality brands and unique specialty items not often found in this area. Founded in 2009, HippyKritz Music and More prides itself in a "customer-first" approach to local musicians, wanting to provide an atmosphere that welcomes all people who have a passion for making and experiencing music. The team at HippyKritz Music and More consists of competent musicians with styles varying from Classical to Jazz, Blues to Classic Rock, Country to Indie, and all genres in between.

When the idea of the music store first came about, the question was, what could be incorporated in the store that is unique to Abilene, TX? Obviously there would be sales and service of different musical instruments and accessories, lessons and instructions on the different types of equipment, and a large selection of gift items. Kathryn and Kenny decided what was missing was a place for musicians of all genres and styles to get together and have a place to perform. For this reason, HippyKritz Music and More has added a stage and performance area to the store for bands, solo artists, etc., to showcase their talents and abilities. Performance nights are open to all people who enjoy listening to the local musicians the Abilene area has to offer.

Kathryn and Kenny would love for people to come by, pick up an instrument and play, or just hang out and meet the staff and make some new friends who share the passion for music.
